Forest School

At Deal Nursery and Forest School, we believe children learn best through exploration, discovery, and play in the natural world. Our Forest School sessions provide exciting opportunities for children to connect with nature in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Set within beautiful outdoor surroundings, children enjoy a range of hands-on, child-led activities including den building, bug hunting, woodland crafts, and muddy puddle adventures. A particular favourite is gathering around the fire pit to toast marshmallows, creating memorable experiences filled with fun and wonder.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All fire-based activities are carefully planned and supervised by qualified Forest School leaders. Children learn how to behave safely around the fire pit, use tools responsibly, and respect both nature and one another.

Through these experiences, children develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a love of the outdoors. Our Forest School approach helps build essential life skills while creating joyful learning experiences that support every child's personal and educational development.

School Lunches

Healthy Meals for Growing Minds

We are proud to work with Whole School Meals to provide children with fresh, nutritious lunches every day.

Each meal is prepared using high-quality ingredients, with a focus on fresh, seasonal and locally sourced British produce. Menus are carefully planned to be balanced, varied and child-friendly, helping children enjoy healthy food from an early age.

Whole School Meals can also cater for a wide range of dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural or lifestyle preferences, ensuring every child is safely and thoughtfully supported.

Together, we are helping to nurture healthy children while also supporting a healthier planet through reduced food waste, responsible packaging and ethical sourcing.
